Sheikh Mansour deported in Body but not in Spirit
Posted by Father Dave under Uncategorized[6] Comments
Friday, September 10th, was the celebration of Eid, ending the month of Ramadan, and a large group of worshippers gathered at the Imam Hussein Islamic Centre in Earlwood. With them once again was the familiar figure of Sheikh Mansour Leghaei, offering encouragement and spiritual guidance to the group. But this time he was (sadly) not with them in body but was joining in via the miracle of Skype.
In point of fact this was not the first time that Sheikh Mansour has addressed the congregation at the Imam Hussein Centre since he was deported on June 27th, 2010. Current technology does in fact make it entirely straightforward for Mansour to be able to teach and to interact with the Earlwoood congregation whenever they choose – and it’s all done from the comfort of his study in Esfahan.

Hi,
what had happened to sheikh case. shouldnt they answer by now?

The Australian government has given no reply to the United Nations so far as we know. Perhaps they are assuming that we will all forget about the deadline and forget about Mansour. This will not happen!

Hi father Dave
Thank you for your answer.
Is there is any plan to have them reply?
what the lawyer say?
can they ,by law, not to reply for us?

If they fail to reply there is no punitive action that the UN can take against us. Even so, Australia was looking for a seat on the UN Security Council, so the government will not be wanting to upset the UN unnecessarily.
My plan is to see that we make as much fuss as possible and I’m hoping we can have some questions raised in Parliament. The Greens are our best avenue to see this happen as they were the only political party that supported Sheikh.

thanks father
I wish that sheikh sons complain to the court about the effect of this case on them.
I still have big HOPE that we will win at the end.

Never give up hope, my friend. 🙂
